What is an MCP server for a PIM?

An MCP server connects a product information management system to an AI assistant through the Model Context Protocol. With shopvibes, your assistant can read product data and perform supported listing and media tasks.

What can I do with shopvibes MCP today?

You can retrieve products and attributes, view partners and templates, create listings and check their status, results and processing information. You can also search media and add or remove product assignments. Capabilities continue to evolve during the beta.

Can I connect ChatGPT or Claude to shopvibes?

Yes. Our help center includes setup instructions for ChatGPT and Claude. During the beta, access is available on request from the shopvibes team. Setup and support for custom connections also depend on your AI tool and your organization’s settings.

Which data can my assistant access?

Your assistant acts on behalf of the signed-in shopvibes user, with that user’s permissions. Team member restrictions also apply through MCP. Processing within your AI tool is additionally governed by its provider’s settings and terms.

Do I need technical skills?

For everyday use, describe your tasks in natural language. Our guide walks you through the initial connection, and the shopvibes team coordinates access during the beta.
